How long have you been in mattress industry? Can you tell us some information about the experiences you gained through the years?

Established in 2006 on 55.000m2 covered space to produce steel wire, mattress springs and foam, we have been serving the mattress industry for 9 years. We are providing these services to our customers with a fully integrated campus. With the investments we have made over the last 1 year, we are able to supply all products relevant to today’s technology. Our recent R&D investments enable us to serve with innovative products according to industry needs.

Can you give us specific information about the foam, properties and variety which you produce?

With our foam production of elastic, flex, hard, ultra, soft, feather, hyper soft and memory between 14 and 65 densities, we are one of the leading suppliers of the furniture and mattress industry. We are able to cater to various industry needs by our production, cutting and packaging technologies. Our foam is not only used for the furniture and mattress industry, but also used widely for medical, automotive, textile, shoes, sport equipment, isolation, and industrial and household-use industries.

You produce springs as well. What are the peculiarities of the springs?

We produce steel wire for spring production in various diameters between 1.00 and 5.00mm, properties and chemical compositions. With our bonnel, pocket and micro pocket springs, produced from our wire, we are able to provide comfort, durability, longevity and support during sleeping according to body shape in order to supply perfect sleeping conditions

The bonnel springs are long-lasting and comfortable, while they also form the support structure, applicable to the backbone, which is the main carrier of our body. Pocket springs, as well as a superior support structure due to its independent spring setup, also works as a comfort element. Micro pocket springs, which became prevalent lately, protect the backbone and hinder backaches by a support system that embraces the whole body due to additional independent springs per unit area. In other words, they provide a massage effect due to springs which move in accordance with your body. With our R&D works, we are able to serve the industry with mixed spring systems, which have various properties, distributions and spring types.

Do you use wire and foam in your group company only, or else sell domestic market or do you export them? If you do can you give us 17,1information?

We use our steel wire, mattress spring and foam products in our group as well as sell them in the export and domestic market. 70% of our steel wire and spring is being exported to 55 different countries. Of our foam products, we export 10% and we sell the remaining 90% in the domestic market as well as to our group companies. Due to our broad export distribution channels, we are able to reach 55 countries in Africa, North and South America, Middle East to Europe. As packaging is a big disadvantage in transportation for spring and foam products, we have invested in new packaging technologies, which have made it an advantage for us, rather than a disadvantage. Packaging in the form of roll or flat packing technology, which enables 70% saving in volume is a crucial issue in this industry.

What do you think about R&D discrepancy between Turkey and the other countries? What is the place of Turkey in this Industry?

According to the UN reports, in cellular rubbers plastics mattress (SITC-821.23) export, the leading country is Poland with 21% share. Turkey is the 30th with 0.2% share. For the export of mattresses from other materials (SITC-821.25), the leading country is China, which makes up 29% of total export. Turkey is the 10th with 3% share.

In Turkey, the developments in the production of foam and spring are being followed very closely, When the export market is concerned, Turkey is placed 10th in the world for spring mattresses, but 30th in the world for cellular rubber plastic mattresses, foam mattresses in other words. Due to spring mattress being more popular in domestic market as well, R&D and design is more developed in this aspect.

How do you supply raw material? Do you import?

For steel wire production for springs as well as for foam production, a majority of raw materials is being imported.

Lastly, what would you like to add?

Our country, which hosts various cultures gained in Anatolia through 1000 years, has an important role reflecting this diversity in the market. Here, looking at the latest developments, it shows that our country is an arbiter in the industry.

As the production of foam and spring are in accordance with mattress industry, we expect the growth in the world mattress industry to continue in the medium term. We also expect the Turkish mattress industry to grow in parallel with the world mattress industry in the medium term.
