New target of Bella Yay is Indian market

Özkan Kayıran, Chairman of the Board of Bella Yay, conveyed his new year goals, planned investments and long-term visions.

Mr. Özkan, speaking to Sleep Tech magazine, stated that they have been producing mattresses for many years as a family company and that they started spring production by establishing Bella Yay in 2018 with the experience they gained from here.

The story of the family company begins in the 1980s when his father Osman Kayıran started to manufacture mattresses as Özseçkin Yatak. Özkan Kayıran, working day and night with the energy and excitement of his youth, expands his business and becomes a sought-after brand in mattress production after the company passed from father to son, namely to Özkan Kayıran. Mr. Özkan, who saw the development of the mattress industry in 2018s, starts the production of mattress springs. The company, which reached 5 production lines today, chose the name Bella Yay for itself as a brand for spring. Bella Yay, which produces all springs such as pocket spring, micro spring, bonnell spring, increased its production day by day. Bella Yay, which exports springs to countries such as Spain, Germany, Poland, Czechia in Europe, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia and Bulgaria in the Balkans, and to the USA, has set new market targets for itself. It aims to enter the Indian market with the Mattresstech Expo India fair, which it will attend in March 2023. The other target market of Bella Yay, which will take the pulse of a virgin and growing market like India through this fair, is England.

Özkan Kayıran, Chairman of the Board of Bella Yay, said the following about his goals and activities: “We started as a family business. My father founded this company 40 years ago as Özseçkin Yatak. We have learned in our mattress business which spring will be more efficient to use in which mattress and it will last longer. This experience was very useful for us when we got into the spring business. Because we know what our customers will demand and need. We are a company that produces both mattress and components. But we don’t mix things up. We are working for domestic production in mattress production and abroad for spring production. Because we do not want to be a competitor to our customers to whom we sell springs, and we care about this. The world is very big, it is enough for all of us; for that reason we are searching for new markets and participating in fairs. We attended the IBIA EXPO 2022 Fair, which is the fair of the IBIA Association, to which we became a member in October last year. We gained many new customers. Almost all of them are our foreign customers. Last year, we attended the Mebel Expo Moscow Fair in Russia and had the opportunity to study Russia. In 2023, we will attend the Mattresstech Expo for the Indian market, and then the Interzum Cologne Fair, which is the most important fair of our sector and will be held for the first time after 4 years due to the pandemic. We already have a warehouse in Berlin, Germany. We have a structure and sales organization that can reach many points in Europe. Although we are a new company, we currently have many foreign customers. We consider 2023 as the year of entering new markets and 2024 as the year of bringing out of our shell. We are in preparation for an R&D that will eliminate the obstacle in mattress production. Our company has a young and dynamic team. I believe that we will become a very important brand in the future. Although we produce mattress springs, as you know, pocket springs and micro springs are also used in the furniture-armchair sector. We aim to use some of our energy on this side. We anticipate that the mattress sector will continue to grow for another 10 years in Turkey and in the world, and we are making our plans in this direction. Bella Yay is the young company of today, yes, but it will make a name for itself in the future.”
