İridere Kimya: We are continuing on our way as the leading company of the sector with sound steps

Tolga Yoldaş Ercan, General Coordinator of İridere Kimya, gave an interview to Sleeptech magazine on topics such as production, export and future vision of the firm.

While Ercan, stating that Iridere Kimya is one of the first hot-melt producers in Turkey, was describing the vision of the company, said “We have a management style which is known internationally platforms, at world standards, following technological innovations and leading innovations, and taken as an example by our colleagues. It is our effort to gain the trust of our customers and to make a chain in which their expectations are always met at the highest level by giving service at the highest quality and in the frame of standards in the entire adhesive sector at home and abroad.”

Can you mention background of your firm and your projects you did in the past?

İridere Kimya was established in 1998 and is one of Turkey’s first domestic hot-melt producers. It has become one of the leading companies in its field with its belief and determination since the day it was founded. Today, our Proset brand has become a well-known and demanded brand in many countries abroad as well as in the country. In addition to its current success in the market in the hot-melt sector and its advancing production in technology, we have also taken a step into a new project by establishing the plow system in the rubber-based PSA hot-melt field. In order to address to our current customers and to the adhesive sectors in a lot of fields, we are making developments innovatively with personnel, machinery, production and a superior team in R&D. We are continuing on our way as the leading names of the sector with sound steps by adding new equipment and personnel to our growing family day by day.

Could you briefly tell the mission and vision of your firm?

The high quality adhesives are being produced for all kinds of sectors such as paper and packaging, printing and box closing, textile and lamination, filters and automotive, mattresses, baby diapers and sanitary pads, carpet edge and label sectors in particular furniture and wood sector. We, as İridere Kimya family, which is keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront with the variety of adhesives we produce, always give service above the quality standards, In this way, which we continue with the formulations we have and our customers, we are aiming to reach more production by expanding our export portfolio with the latest investments. Our firm works in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standards, with Reach certificate, Oeko-tex certificate, FDA number CFR21.175.105 (adhesives) structure. We aim to design and produce the most suitable system for the customer’s demands with its functionality, aesthetics, safety and price, and produce fast and effective solutions to eliminate the problems that may occur by keeping customer satisfaction in the foreground, and aim to increase our competitive power without compromising the principles of customer satisfaction. Can you mention your R&D and laboratory studies?

One of the most important supporting functions of businesses is research and development. Our Production and Research and Development (R&D) studies are always fast and extremely solution-oriented, according to the customer satisfaction received. According to the results obtained from our state-of-the-art laboratory devices by making routine controls of the products to be put into production, after approval stage, the production is started with reliable and sound steps. In order to make the products more efficient, R&D laboratory studies are carried out and followed regularly. In any case, as the R&D and P&D Team, we act in cooperation by making strategic plans with all the effort and team strength in order to intervene and take quick actions.

As the Iridere Family, our vision is always to make high quality, sound and sustainable production. With each new day, new ones are added to the studies, and work is continued in order to address to different sectors.

What is your annual production capacity?

Our annual capacity is 13.000 tons in our granule lines and 2.500 tons in our PSA lines. We have a production capacity of 3500 tons in our newly established water-based polyurethane lines.

Which countries do you export to?

The countries we export are respectively USA, Germany, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Algeria, Dubai, France, South Africa, Croatia, Spain, Israel, Kosovo, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Greece.

What are your investment plans in the second half of 2022?

As of the end of 2021, our PSA hot-melt line, which we have established, has started no to be sufficient in capacity. Therefore, the negotiations are being made to add an additional PSA hot-melt line until the end of 2022. Our extensive research and studies are continuing to give Distributorship to more countries.
