Mebel Expo winds in Moscow

The 34th International Furniture, Fittings and Upholstery Exhibition – Mebel 2023 was held on November 20-24 at the EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds in Moscow.

EXPOCENTRE AO organized the exhibition with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Russian Union of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises and under the patronage of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The exhibition brings together manufacturers and suppliers of furniture, accessories and upholstery materials, architects, designers and buyers of furniture products. This year’s showcase covers a total area of 80,000 square meters and welcomed 1,100 exhibitors from 11 countries.

Thanks to the active participation of regional business development centers, companies from 20 regions of Russia took part in the exhibition this year. The exhibition presented new products in the following categories: residential furniture, furniture for country houses, furniture for public buildings, custom and commercial furniture, accessories and interior items, materials, components and fittings, furniture and interior fabrics, interior and furniture design, smart technology and much more.

There was also a rich conference program with 35 events with the participation of leading industry experts.

On the first day, the exhibition was visited by Yury Vorobyov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian Federation. He toured the exhibition and held a meeting of the Council for the Development of the Forestry Sector of the Russian Federation under the Council of the Russian Federation.

The participants discussed the state of the deep mechanized woodworking industry, prospects for the development of unmanned aerial systems for the needs of the Russian forestry industry, the implementation of previous decisions of the Council and work plans for 2024.

Among the participants of the Council were Alexander Dvoynykh, Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food Policy and Environmental Management of the Council of the Russian Federation, Oleg Bocharov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Sergey Anoprienko, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, and the Head of the Russian Federal Agency for Agriculture. Ivan Sovetnikov , President of the Russian Union of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises Alexander Shestakov , General Director of the Russian Union of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises Timur Irtuganov and other representatives of regional authorities and business entities.
