Amazon hosted its first Seller Conference in Istanbul

Amazon Seller Services educated hundreds of Turkish businesses to become a seller on Amazon.com.tr, help them grow their businesses around the World and join the newly launched Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA).

 

The first ever Amazon Seller Conference took place in Istanbul to provide guidance on setting up a seller account, growing a business online and logistics solutions. Amazon Seller Services talked about the newly launched Global Selling Program and Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) services which provides sellers an accelerated and friction-free path to selling on Amazon.com.tr. The event brought together over 150 entrepreneurs and small business owners to meet with Amazon leaders face-to-face and learn about the tools and services that can help them further grow their business on Amazon.com.tr. With access to millions of active customer accounts in Europe, Amazon provides small businesses the opportunity to quickly reach customers around the Europe.

 “Small businesses are thriving on Amazon and we’re thrilled to bring these entrepreneurs together to help them take their business to the next level,” said Alex Ootes, Vice President Pan-EU Category Management and EU Expansion “As of June, SMEs on Amazon started to expand their businesses to Europe. In October, the thousands of businesses registered to sell on Amazon’s Turkish store became able to access Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA). Businesses benefit from Amazon’s logistics capabilities, helping them quickly and efficiently reach customers across Turkey. As of today, in additon to Selling in Europe, we have launched the `Sell Globally` tool for Turkish Selling Partners to expand their offers to America (US, Canada, MX), Asia-Pacific (Japan, India, Australia, Singapore) and Middle East and North Africa (United Arab Emirates). It is the one stop page for our Turkish selling partners with accounts in various regions to manage their businesses. The newly launched services are another step towards fulfilling that commitment. We hope to empower and encourage sellers in Turkey to sell online and enable our customers to find, discover and buy anything on Amazon”

Since the launch of Seller Services in 2000, Amazon has been helping businesses all over the world increase sales and reach new customers. Sales from sellers now represent over 50 per cent of all items sold on Amazon websites globally. Amazon today confirmed that over eight thousand Turkish businesses have already registered to sell their products on Amazon.com.tr.
